March 10, 2026
The San Antonio Spurs have delivered the biggest comeback of the 2025-26 season. The Spurs were once down 75-50 to the Los Angeles Clippers with two minutes and 37 seconds into the second half on Friday, before they outscored Los Angeles 66-37 in the final 21 minutes and 23 seconds en route to a 116-112 victory.
The 25-point comeback is tied for the biggest comeback in the 2025-26 NBA season. The New Orleans Pelicans were once down 72-47 to the Houston Rockets before winning 133-128 on December 18.
This was the second biggest comeback in Spurs franchise history. The biggest comeback came on March 8, 2017. San Antonio was once down 59-31 to the Sacramento Kings (28 points) before winning 114-104.
The Spurs’s leading scorer on Friday was former first overall pick Victor Wembanyama of Le Chesnay, France. Wembanyama had the double-double as he scored 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Wembanyama was one of six Spurs players who reached double digits in points. Small forward Julian Champagnie of Brooklyn, New York had 20 points, point guard De’Aaron Fox of New Orleans, Louisiana had 19 points, shooting guard Devin Vassell of Lawrenceville, Georgia had 11 points, while small forward Keldon Johnson of Chesterfield, Virginia and center Luke Kornet of Lantana, Texas had 10 points each off the bench.
San Antonio is smoking hot at the moment. They have a record of 15 wins and one loss in their  last 16 games. Their only loss during this stretch came on March 1 when they were beaten 114-89 to the New York Knicks. In fact, the Spurs had a perfect record of 11 wins and zero losses in the month of February.
The Spurs are currently at 47 wins and 17 losses. They have the second best record in the NBA. Only the Oklahoma City Thunder at 50 wins and 15 losses are better.
