The trade deadline for the 2025-26 NBA regular season takes place on Thursday. However, on Tuesday, six notable players were on the move. Let’s take a look at who they are.
Darius Garland
The point guard from Gary, Indiana was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Clippers. Garland spent the last seven seasons with the Cavaliers and was an All-Star twice. In 2025-26, he is averaging 18 points per game, 6.9 assists per game, and 2.4 rebounds per game. Garland has a field goal percentage of .451, three point percentage of .360, and free throw percentage of .861.
James Harden
The point guard from Los Angeles California is an 11-time NBA All-Star and was the NBA MVP with the Houston Rockets in 2018. He was traded from the Clippers to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Garland and a second round pick. The Cavaliers are Harden’s sixth NBA team after playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers and Clippers. In 2025-26, Harden is averaging 25.4 points per game, 8.1 assists per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of .419, three point percentage of .347 and free throw percentage of .901.
Kevin Huerter
The small forward from Albany, New York was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Detroit Pistons in a three-way trade also involving the Minnesota Timberwolves. Huerter is joining his fourth NBA team after playing for the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls. In 2025-26, Huerter is averaging 10.9 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game and 2.6 assists per game. He has a field goal percentage of .455, three point percentage of .314, and free throw percentage of .732.
Jaren Jackson Jr.
The center from Plainfield, New Jersey was traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Utah Jazz. In 2025-26, Jackson Jr. averaged 19.2 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, 1.5 blocks per game and one steal per game. He had a field goal percentage of .475, three point percentage of .359, and free throw percentage of .797.
Anfernee Simons
The shooting guard from Longwood, Florida was traded from the Boston Celtics to the Chicago Bulls. Simons is joining his third NBA franchise after seven seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers and one season with the Celtics. In 2025-26, Simons is averaging 14.2 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of .440, three point percentage of .889 and three point percentage of .395.
Nikola Vucevic
The center from Morges, Switzerland was traded from the Bulls to the Celtics. Vucevic is joining his fourth NBA franchise after being with the Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic and Bulls. In 2025-26, Vucevic is averaging 16.9 points per game, nine rebounds per game, and 3,8 assists per game. He has a fields goal percentage of .505, three point percentage of .376, and free throw percentage of .838.
