Scottie Scheffler won the 2026 Tour Championship on Sunday. At the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, Scheffler posted a winning score of -16.
This was the second time in Scheffler’s career he won the Tour Championship. He previously won the 2024 Tour Championship.
Over the last four days, Scheffler defeated Viktor Hovland of Norway by three strokes. Hovland was alone in second place at -13.
Scheffler had a first round score of five-under-par 65, second round score of three-under-par 67, third round score of four-under-par 66, and a fourth round score of four-under-par 66. Scheffler did not have a bogey in the first round or third round.
When Scheffler won the 2024 Tour Championship, he began the tournament at -10. When Scheffler won the Tour Championship this year, he began like every other player at even par.
Scheffler may not have had his best season of his career. He was unable to win a major. However, he was the co-leader on the PGA Tour this season with three victories. The other three PGA Tour players with three wins in 2026 were Chris Gotterup, Wyndham Clark and Matt Fitzpatrick. Scheffler’s other two wins in 2026 were at the American Express Championship in southern California and the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis.
Now the question will be if Scheffler will be named the PGA Tour Player of the Year even though he did not win a major championship. Scheffler did not win a major in 2023, but was still considered the best player three years ago.
