Sandown Hillside Tip Sheet & Staking Plan: Wednesday 7th July

Wednesday Metropolitan racing heads to Sandown where the Hillside track will play host to a deep 8 race program.

The track is currently rated a Soft 7. Victorians are set to expect a freezing day with a top of just 12 degrees! Once again, the damage has been done with rainfall during the week. You can expect much the same for the next 4-6 weeks. While we are in winter, it’s almost impossible for these tracks to fully dry out due to consistent rainfall and high dew points.

The rail is out 4m for the entire meeting. With the rail in this position and the sticky track I’m expecting it to be playing quite evenly throughout.
