The Baltimore Ravens have signed center Ethan Pocic of Lemont, Illinois according to ESPN on Friday. The terms of the deal are for one year, and worth $4.5 million.
Pocic is joining his third National Football League franchise. He spent five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks from 2017 to 2021, and then the last four seasons from 2022 to 2025, with the Cleveland Browns.
In all, Pocic has played 114 games in the NFL. He has four career fumble recoveries. They came in a 27-24 Seahawks loss to the Denver Broncos on September 9, 2018 in the Seahawks’s season opener of the 2018 NFL regular season, in a 31-23 Seahawks win over the Miami Dolphins on October 4, 2020, in a 30-23 Seahawks win over the San Francisco 49ers on December 5, 2021, and in a 23-20 Browns loss to the Ravens on October 23, 2022.
It should be noted that Pocic did suffer a serious injury last season. He tore his Achilles against the Tennessee Titans and missed the last month.
Pocic was initially the Seahawks’s second round pick. 58th overall, in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played his collegiate football at Louisiana State University. Pocic is currently at 6’6″, 320 pounds.
The Ravens were in search for a center after Tyler Linderbaum of Solon, Iowa signed a three-year contract worth $81 million with the Las Vegas Raiders. Linderbaum was with the Ravens the last four seasons, and was one of the top centers in the NFL. That is because the last three years, he was selected to the Pro Bowl.
