Ravens running backs battling coronavirus
November 25, 2020
According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN on Monday, Baltimore Ravens running backs Mark Ingram Jr. and J.K. Dobbins have each tested positive for coronavirus. As a result, neither one of them are eligible to play on Thursday when the Ravens battle their AFC North Division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
So far in 2020, Ingram Jr. of Hackensack, New Jersey, has had 57 carries for 232 yards, and two touchdowns, along with five catches for 59 yards. Dobbins, the Ravens rookie running back from Ohio State, has been the most productive Baltimore running back as he has had 72 carries for 380 yards, and three touchdowns, along with 17 catches for 103 yards.
The loss of Ingram and Dobbins means that Gus Edwards will get the bulk of the carries for the Ravens in their next game on Thanksgiving night. So far this season, Edwards has had 85 rushing carries for 376 yards and three touchdowns. Do not expect Edwards to be utilized much in the receiving game, as he only has seven catches for 42 yards in 2020.
One must realize the Ravens best rusher is their quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Never afraid to move out of the pocket, Jackson leads the Ravens with 575 yards rushing in 2020.

The Ravens meanwhile are struggling at the moment. Heading into their game against the undefeated Steelers, Baltimore is at six wins and four losses in the AFC. They have also lost three of their last four games. Their losses came on November 1 in a 28-24 home loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, on November 15, in a 23-17 loss to the New England Patriots, and this past Sunday, in a 30-24 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
