Randwick Best Selection & Value Play 8/3

The G1 Randwick Guineas and Canterbury Stakes  headlines a big day of G1 racing at Randwick. Our analyst has selected a gun 2yo that gets an improved run today and a Queensland sprinter that looks ready to go over 1000m with the blinkers on today. 

Best Selection: R4- Wodeton

This looks a great set up for Wodeton after going back to the rear from the outside gate and still being forced 3 wide thanks to some competitive riding from rival jockeys. He hit the line nicely to finish 3.1L 3rd despite a tough run. He was a 3.8L winner on debut at Rosehill on a Soft 7. Draws to get a nice run and J Mac jumps back on.

Value Selection: R6- Uncommon James

Uncommon James’ last run over 1000m where he was 2.2L 3rd to Imperatriz in the G1 Moir at Moonee Valley rates well for this. He gets the blinkers on and has wins on both Good and Soft ground. He was a 4L winner at a recent Doomben trial and looks ready to go.
