It shapes as a really strong December meeting at Randwick today. Our analyst has found a high profile European import looking to go 2/2 in Aus and a Waterhouse/Bott 3yo dropping right back in grade as the Value Play.
Best Selection: R6- Gilded Water
Gilded Water looks the best bet of the day. He really impressed with 1st start for Ciaron Maher where he won by 0.5L over 2000m at Kembla on Gong Day. Alalcaance has since franked that form going down narrowly in Listed company at Randwick last Saturday.
He’s had a month off since that run but you’d imagine the stable has pumped the work into him as they are stepping him up to 2400m. We can expect this fella to be contesting some much stronger races in his next prep.

Value Selection: R5- Dawn Service
Dawn Service’s form jumps off the page. He finished 2.5L to Autumn Glow at Rosehill over this trip last prep. He was a Listed Exford Plate winner at Flemington next start before failing in G2 at Moonee Valley to round out the prep. He gets on-speed favours in a race where rivals with gate speed have come out with scratchings.
