RACING TIPS: Canterbury Best Selection & Value Play 6/8

Midweek Sydney racing heads to Canterbury today. Our analyst likes a Baker gelding coming off back-to-back Midweek placings and a $26 pop dropping back from Saturday grade as the value play.

Best Selection: R5 – Bat Out of Hell

Bat Out of Hell looks to have a few things in his favour here rock hard fit 5th up this prep. He is coming off back-to-back 3rds at Warwick Farm and Kensington on wet tracks and looks to get an ideal map either sitting outside of camping in behind the leader that looks the main danger. If conditions are favouring those getting out to the middle of the track by Race 5 then you’d expect Rawiller to have him there with No Drama inside him.

Value Selection: R6 – Walking’Talkin

Walkin’Talkin is far from the worst $26 chance I’ve seen. He is dropping back from Saturday grade with a 6.2L 8th to Yoshinobu at Rosehill last start. He handles the conditions and should roll across and get full control of the race. At the very least looks a good hedge for a slowly run affair if you want to be with the short priced favourite Slinky.
