Captain Furai returns from a spell with a win from 2 1st up attempts. He brings a 3: 2-1-0 Heavy track record and looks to have improvement to come as a 7-start 5yo. He will get a lovely run behind a genuine tempo with J Mac aboard.
Value Selection: R3- First Landing
First Landing had back me last start when sitting 3-wide no cover midfield and hitting the front at the top of the straight only to be run down on the line to record a 0.2L 2nd. If he gets some cover he wins that race. He’s 1-1 on the Heavy and looks ready to win.
