Saturday Sydney racing returns to Rosehill where our analyst likes a Maher 3yo that went down narrowly 1st up and an O’Shea & Charlton gelding returning on the back of a big trial win as the value play.

Best Selection: R4- Stormland
Stormland looks the best bet on the card after a brave 0.02L 2nd at Randwick on Boxing Day when 1st up. He endured a tough run 3 and 4 wide from the outside gate and looked the winner going up the rise only to be run down late by Beside the Ocean having a softer run in behind him. He will be better going out to 1100m with that run under his belt and whilst he does have to contend with another wide gate in a small field, I do like the upgrade to Rawiller for it.Â

Value Selection: R8- Rhythm of Love
The G3 Fred Best runner up looks to have returned in great order after his 2.4L trial win over 1200m at Randwick back at the end of December. He sat outside the leader and quickly put pay to them under hands and heels riding from Dylan Gibbons. He beat home Stefi Magnetica in the G3 Fred Best in the winter of 2024 and has since lined up in the Silver Eagle. He resumes dropping right back in company and I love being with Nash on days where his major competition are interstate.
