RACING: Doomben Specials 17/9
September 16, 2025

We have found FOUR horses that we’re very keen on at Wednesday’s Doomben meeting, and you can view them below.
If you’re looking for a quick tip, then this is the post for you, as we have looked through the form, sectionals, ratings, and speed maps to find FOUR horses for you to back today.
Race 2: Shadwell Lane
- Trainer: J Mason
- Jockey: C Graham
- Barrier: 8
This filly is ready to break through after two solid seconds.
She will sit off the pace and savage the line.
See our best bet of the day below.
Race 3: Wootten Hyde
- Trainer: J Mason
- Jockey: J Guthman-Chester
- Barrier: 7
We’re banking on a stable double from J Mason as he saddles up a gelding with very similar credentials & breeding as the filly above.
A 1.5L second over this track and distance last start sets up nicely for a peak performance third up.
Our best of the day
Race 5: Tonneofgrit
- Trainer: S Kendrick
- Jockey: J Mcmurray
- Barrier: 2
This 7-year-old gelding hasn’t won for a while, but we’re keen on him at the big odds after some great performances in harder races throughout the preparation.
The step back in grade will suit, and we will be backing him each way.
Race 6: Little Jeanie
- Trainer: J Bruce
- Jockey: E Lang
- Barrier: 8
The Bruce stable would’ve been disappointed when this mare was beaten just 0.1L at this track and distance last start.
She will carry the same weight as last start in the same grade and has been backed, which gives us confidence
