• North Queensland Cowboys have won lost their last two NRL games at Queensland Country Bank Stadium after winning six in a row at the venue prior; the last time they lost more consecutive games there was a six-game stretch from June 2021 to March 2022.
• Newcastle Knights have lost seven of their last nine NRL games in Queensland including their last four in a row; though, their last two games in the state have seen them lose by margins of four points or fewer on the day.
• Murray Taulagi (North Queensland Cowboys) has scored four tries across his four games against Newcastle Knights in the NRL including a hat-trick against them in Round 11, 2021.
• Tom Jenkins (Newcastle Knights) has scored four tries across his last three NRL games, scoring at least one try in each of those three fixtures; in fact, he also crossed for one try in his last game against North Queensland Cowboys (Round 16, 2023).
• Zac Laybutt (North Queensland Cowboys) has scored five tries across his last three games in the NRL with four of those tries coming across two meetings with The Dolphins in that span.
