Hopefully going to be good friends with Ash Maley at the end of the day. Megazone is absolutely flying at the minute. 2 huge runs behind Carocapo and the similarly flying Ziebell before last start stepped out over the 1400m in a deep, high rating race where from barrier 11 he got trapped wide early, was made to drop out to the tail and just got too far out of his ground to pick them up, really savaging the line late. Drops back in grade here to a 66, gets to his favourite track at Pinjarra where he hasn’t been beaten thus far in his career, rick hard fit ready to run a peak 4th up figure and draws an alley where The Pontiff can just cushion up him up two or three back the fence and wait for the splits to come. Keen.

Another Ash Maley horse (how good is this bloke going) who is flying and is seriously going to give this a shake. Was huge 2 starts back behind Dark Mission over the 1200m when tramping 3 and 4 deep no cover from barrier 16 the trip to only be beaten 2L with 3 subsequent winners coming from that race before last start stepping out in the Black Diamond, drew another shocker stall in 14, settled at the rear and was still 2nd last spotting the leaders 6 or 7 on the turn before chewing the grass home in easily the race fastest L400/200m splits to be beaten a nose in a photo. Love the booking of CJP here, finally draws a gate where he can sit closer to them in the run and with some clear air, looks every chance to be taking this out.
