Our three best tips for 2024 Wells Fargo Championship

This is an intriguing weekend in golf as the Wells Fargo Championship takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina. Golfers will try to get into top form leading up to the second major of the year, the PGA Championship, next weekend in Louisville. This is one of two PGA events on the calendar this weekend as the Myrtle Beach Classic is in South Carolina. Here are the top three golfers we like at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Wyndham Clark
We all know of Wyndham Clark’s major title last year when he won the 2023 United States Open at the Los Angeles Country Club. However, golf fans might not have remembered that he won the Wells Fargo Championship last year too. Clark shot a four round score of -19 and beat reigning Olympic gold medalist Xander Schauffele of San Diego, California by four strokes. The world number three has won one event already in 2024. That was the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he shot a score of -17 and beat Swedish phenom Ludvig Aberg by a stroke.

Xander Schauffele
The World number four was the aforementioned runner up last year to Clark. Schauffele has been a model of consistency has he has made the cut in all 10 events he has entered in, and had seven top 10 finishes. His best result was a second place finish at the Players Championship.

Rory McIlroy
The World number two has been great at the Wells Fargo Championship in the past. He is the only three-time winner of the tournament as he won in 2010, 2015, and 2021.
