Suns vs Cavs 9:10am AEST

The key for me here was Cameron Payne playing. All season long the Suns have picked their spots for when to use CP and today just really sets up as one to get him so extra rest. They are 12.5 point favourites and on the front end of a b2b with a tougher game tomorrow against the Hawks who will be rested and at home. Really really hard to see him get over 30 minutes in this one and he tends to do a lot of his scoring late in games so feel pretty good about him staying under here.

Bucks vs Nets 9:40am AEST

Unbelievable viewing 2 days ago and I’m expecting a similar contest again here. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the Nets using Griffin as the primary defender on Giannis while he was out there (to his credit he looked OK at times) but that is just a recipe for disaster for the Nets and it’s pretty clear they don’t have anybody who can guard him. He’s set for a big game. KDs minutes are trending up in a hurry playing 28,32,36 before topping out at 39 last game. They are both set for very busy nights and there’s a bit to play for here, as if the Bucks win then they’ll only be 1.5 gams behind the Nets for 2nd seed, and it’ll probably put the Nets out of the race for 1 seed. It’s on national TV so expecting big minutes and a big show from the studs today and I’ve got Nets winning this one, but happy to take a little bit of a safer number.

Kings vs Thunder 10:10am AEST

With so many guys out for the Kings expect Bagley to be the focal points of the offence and jeez it was good to see him get up to 34 minutes in just his second game back against the Mavs. He looked awesome there, finishing with 24/9 and he gets a perfect matchup here against the Thunder who have given up the 5th most PITP since the all star break.
