Our analyst has reviewed the sectional times, ratings & replays from last Saturday’s Rosehill meeting & has placed five horses you must follow in our black book below.
SALTCOATS
Finished on strongly from well back to finish third in the Tulloch Stakes at his first run over 2000 metres and his third run this time in to emerge as an ATC Derby prospect. It was also a day where it was hard to make ground. He also galloped on strongly after the line suggesting he’s looking for further ground.
MAKARENA
A horror watch from the outset for her supporters as she always looked to be awkwardly placed. Then in the straight she was held up for a run until 100 metres to go when she then finished off nicely to gain fourth placing in the Emancipation Stakes. She will be better suited at Randwick.

ZARDOZI
Don’t discount her turning the tables on Orchestral in the Australian Oaks. She sprinted home with the Kiwi filly who left her behind in the last 100 metres. Zardozi will benefit from that run and James Cummings will have her primed for her main target which is her next start.
ASHRUN
The Sydney Cup looks perfectly timed for this stayer who run fourth in the Melbourne Cup. His best work was late in the Tancred Stakes where he gained third spot. 3200 metres will be right up his alley.
