Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon injured with a strained right calf

According to the Associated Press on Tuesday, Denver Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon of San Jose, California is expected to miss at least the next two weeks with a strained right calf. Gordon suffered the injury on Monday in a 121-119 Nuggets win over the Toronto Raptors.
In the Nuggets win, Gordon only played four minutes, and made one three-pointer, one minute and 10 seconds into the game which put the Nuggets up 6-3 at the time. Gordon had two three-point attempts, had one assist and was a +1.
In seven games this season, Gordon was averaging 15.4 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game. He had a field goal percentage of .529, three point percentage of .545, and a free throw percentage of .846.
Gordon is one of two Nuggets players currently injured. The other is Jamal Murray of Kitchener, Ontario, who has not played since November 1 because of a concussion.
The Nuggets have opened the season with a record of five wins and three losses. They are in a fourth place tie in the Western Conference alongside the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings.
Gordon is in his fifth season with the Nuggets after seven seasons with the Orlando Magic. He has been an instrumental force in the Nuggets starting rotation and was a major contributor to the Nuggets winning the 2023 NBA Finals. In five games, the Nuggets beat the Miami Heat four games to one. In 20 postseason games in 2023, Gordon averaged 13.3 points per game, six rebounds per game and 2.6 assists per game. He had a field goal percentage of .518, free throw percentage of .652, and three point percentage of .391.
