One of the game’s great rivalries will mark the official opening of the new Allianz Stadium, with the winner set to secure a home match for the opening week of the finals.

The Rabbitohs have won the four derbies, including a Murray-inspired 28-16 victory in Round 3 earlier this year.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS VS CRONULLA SHARKS – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 4, MCDONALD JONES STADIUM, 2:00PM

Second place, and with it a home match in the opening week of the finals, is on the line for the Sharks this Sunday, while the Knights will be keen to avoid finishing their season with four-straight defeats.

Cronulla put Newcastle away 18-0 at home in Round 4 to end a four-match losing streak in the rivalry. The Sharks last won in the Hunter in 2018.
