Storm outgun Dolphins in Suncorp pearler

The Storm remain atop the competition ladder having downed the Dolphins 30-24 in a thrilling clash at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The score remained deadlocked heading into the sheds after a seesawing opening forty with Kenny Bromwich, Euan Aitken, and Trai Fuller the scorers for the Dolphins and returning star Ryan Papenhuyzen, Tyran Wishart, and Jahrome Hughes for Melbourne.

Quick tries to Will Warbrick and Josh King put the Storm ahead with Jamayne Isaako crossing shy of the hour mark to keep the hosts in it.

The Storm managed to withstand a late surge to hold on for a handy win away from home.

Warbrick scored a try, assisted on two others, and ran for a team-high 194 metres whilst Hughes scored a try, assisted on two others, and kicked for 455 metres.

Isaako scored a try and ran for 235 metres with five tackle breaks whilst Fuller scored a try and ran for 196 metres with six tackle breaks.

Titans stun Warriors in historic trouncing

The Titans pulled off the biggest win in club history on Saturday afternoon thumping the Warriors 66-6 in a stunning affair at Cbus Super Stadium.

Tries to Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Beau Fermor, Chris Randall, Keenan Palasia and Sam Verrills saw the Titans take a 30-0 lead into the break.

Khan-Pereira scored tries No.2, No.3, and No.4 in the second stanza whilst Keano Kini grabbed a double and Jayden Campbell crossed.

Campbell converted all 11 tries en route to a club-record 26 points whilst Khan-Pereira became the first Titan in 16 years to snag a four-try haul.

Kini scored two, assisted on another, and ran for 249 metres with six tackle breaks whilst Campbell scored a try, assisted on three others, and ran for 90 metres.

Roosters too good for Bulldogs at Gosford

The Roosters proved too strong for the Bulldogs in torrential conditions at Gosford on Saturday evening coming away with a 26-8 win.

Tries to Dom Young and Nat Butcher saw the Roosters take a double-digit lead into the break before Terrell May crossed to extend it.

Jeral Skelton got over to keep the Dogs within reach before rookie Blake Steep scored to seal it for the Chooks.

Junior Pauga was sent off late for an ugly high shot on Connor Tracey before Sam Walker was binned for a multitude of indiscretions.

James Tedesco ran for 249 metres with 13 tackle breaks and a line break whilst May scored a try, ran for 214 metres with five tackle breaks, and made 37 tackles.

Skelton scored a try, assisted on another, and ran for 241 metres with five tackle breaks whilst Jacob Kiraz ran for 222 metres with eight tackle breaks and assisted on a line break.

Rabbitohs shut-out Sea Eagles in slugfest

It was far from pretty, but the Rabbitohs secured their fourth win in a row on Saturday night downing the Sea Eagles 14-0 at Homebush.

Richie Kennar and Jye Gray crossed in the opening quarter of the clash to give the Rabbitohs an early eight-point lead before a near hour-long stalemate was broken in the dying stages by Keaon Koloamatangi.

Koloamatangi scored a try, ran for 250 metres, and made 39 tackles in an 80-minute performance whilst Gray scored a try and ran for 198 metres.

Wests Tigers blow out Raiders, secure back-to-back wins

The Wests Tigers blew the Raiders off the park at Campbelltown on Sunday afternoon running away with a 48-24 victory.

Tries to Lachlan Galvin, debutant Luke Laulili’i, and Sione Fainu saw the hosts take an 18-2 lead into half-time.

Galvin grabbed a second in the opening set of the second half before Jahream Bula, Stefano Utoikamanu, and Apisai Koroisau found tries to send Campbelltown into party mode.

A quick, six-minute spurt saw Nick Čotrić, Kaeo Weekes, and Ethan Strange grab tries to improve the scoreboard for the Raiders before a long-range try to returning star Adam Doueihi sealed a memorable win for the hosts.

Koroisau scored a try, assisted on another, and made 41 tackles whilst Galvin scored two, assisted on another, and ran for 187 metres with seven tackle breaks.

Weekes scored a try and ran for 180 metres whilst Joseph Tapine ran for 177 metres with five tackle breaks and made 28 tackles.
