Wade Graham, Toby Rudolf, and Jesse Ramien crossed in the second half to extend the advantage as the Titans slumped to sixth loss from their past seven.

Siosifa Talakai finished with two try assists and 197 run metres with three tackle breaks whilst Ramien scored a try, assisted on another, and ran for 210 metres with eight tackle breaks.

Tino Fa’asuamaleaui scored a try and ran for 214 metres with eight tackle breaks whilst Phillip Sami ran for 247 metres with five tackle breaks.

Eels suffer Broncos thumping, fall back in finals race

The Broncos flexed their premiership muscles with a 54-10 demolition of the Eels at The Gabba on Friday night.

They leapt out to a 24-0 first half advantage via tries to Adam Reynolds, Billy Walters, Deine Mariner and Herbie Farnworth.

Mariner and Walters both grabbed doubles to start the second half along with an Ezra Mam try before the Eels launched some resistance with a pair of tries only for the Broncos to cap the night off with Kurt Capewell and Reece Walsh crossing late.

Mariner scored two, assisted on two, and ran for 135 metres with five tackle breaks whilst Walsh scored a try, assisted on another, and ran for 159 metres with four tackle breaks.


Unconvincing Bunnies edge Dragons in Cairns

A scrappy affair saw the Rabbitohs hold on for a 26-14 win over the Dragons at Barlow Park in Cairns on Saturday afternoon.

Alex Johnston added to his try tally to get the Rabbits on the board before Mikaele Ravalawa continued his hot run of try-scoring form to answer soon after as South Sydney took an 8-4 lead into the sheds.

Both sides traded a pair of second half tries before Johnston grabbed a second to cap off a much-needed win for the Bunnies.

Cody Walker scored and assisted on a try for Souths whilst Cameron Murray ran for 123 metres and made 38 tackles.

Moses Suli assisted on a try and ran for 124 metres with six tackle breaks whilst Blake Lawrie ran for 135 metres and made 28 tackles.


Warriors outlast valiant Wests Tigers in Hamilton

The Warriors managed to finish atop a brave Wests Tigers team at Hamilton’s FMG Stadium Waikato on Saturday evening to continue their march towards a top four finish.

A pair of early tries got the Warriors off to a nice start until the Wests Tigers answered with tries to Starford To’a and Luke Brooks in the space of three minutes before Dallin Watene-Zelezniak scored to give the Warriors a four-point half-time lead.

Tohu Harris crossed on the other side of the break before Daine Laurie got his name on the scoresheet to keep it tight only for Addin Fonua-Blake to seal it late for Andrew Webster’s men.

Fonua-Blake scored a try and ran for 270 metres with six tackle breaks whilst Harris scored a try, ran for 177 metres, and made 33 tackles.

Laurie scored a try, assisted on three tries, and ran for 135 metres with four tackle breaks whilst To’a scored a double and ran for 133 metres.


Roosters defeat Dolphins, earn third win from past four

The Roosters’ top eight hopes are still alive after coming up with a 30-14 win over the Dolphins at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.

Ray Stone crossed first to give the visitors an early lead before Joseph Manu scored on the stroke of half-time to cut the deficit to two.

Tries to Billy Smith and Joseph-Aukuso Sua’ali’i earnt the Roosters a lead before a late Drew Hutchison double saw the march towards another needed victory.

Jamayne Isaako scored a try and ran for 133 metres with five tackle breaks for the Dolphins.


Storm smack Raiders, issue warning

The Storm put together a statement performance on Sunday afternoon destroying the Raiders 48-2 at AAMI Park with top four hopes on the line.

The Storm’s nine-try afternoon began with a 12th-minute Christian Welch four-pointer before tries to Marion Seve, Reimis Smith, and Eliesa Katoa saw the hosts take a 20-2 lead into the intermission.

The Knights’ top eight tilt is in full swing with the Novocastrians making light work of the Bulldogs 42-6 at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A pair of first half sin bins saw the Knights pour on five tries – including a Tyson Gamble double as well as tries to Dane Gagai, Kurt Mann, and Enari Tuala – in in the space of 32 minutes to take a 30-0 lead into the half.

The scoring dried up in the second stanza, but it did not stop the hosts from claiming their sixth win on the trot.
