1 hour ago - Sportingbase NRL Team Lists: Panthers Vs Raiders – The Biggest Betting Impacts From Team Lists Image

The official team lists are in for Panthers vs Raiders, with several key changes creating new betting opportunities ahead of kick-off. Penrith welcomes Jack Cogger back from suspension, while Canberra regains Owen Pattie after serving a one-match ban. Both changes strengthen the spine ahead of one of the biggest clashes of Round 22.

Biggest Winners – Panthers

Jack Cogger

Cogger returns straight into the starting side after serving his suspension, with Ivan Cleary shifting Blaize Talagi to the extended reserves. Cogger’s composure and kicking game provide Penrith with another experienced organiser alongside Nathan Cleary.

Betting impact: Cogger’s return strengthens Penrith’s attacking structure and should create more opportunities for the outside backs through improved game management.

Nathan Cleary

With Cogger back alongside him, Cleary can focus on controlling the contest and picking his moments to attack rather than carrying the entire playmaking load.

Betting impact: Cleary remains one of the safest player market selections of the round, particularly in try assists and player performance markets.

Jaxen Edgar

Edgar retains the fullback role with Dylan Edwards still sidelined by a shoulder injury. Another week in the No.1 jersey gives the youngster valuable continuity in one of the competition’s best attacking systems.

Betting impact: Edgar’s growing confidence makes him an intriguing value option in attacking player markets.

Biggest Losers – Panthers

Blaize Talagi

Talagi has been omitted from the starting side, with Jack Cogger taking over at five-eighth after returning from suspension.

Dylan Edwards

Edwards remains unavailable with a shoulder injury, forcing Penrith to continue without one of the competition’s premier fullbacks.

Mitch Kenny

Kenny is still unavailable as Penrith continues to manage his leg injury, leaving Freddy Lussick to again start at hooker.

Biggest Winners – Raiders

Owen Pattie

Pattie returns from suspension and immediately reclaims the starting hooker role, with Tom Starling reverting to the interchange. His return gives Canberra greater balance through the middle and strengthens their service around the ruck.

Betting impact: Pattie’s return improves the Raiders’ attacking rhythm and should help generate better field position through the middle.

Ata Mariota

Mariota has again been named to start in the back row after impressing as a late inclusion last week. With Noah Martin unavailable, he has another chance to cement his place in the starting side.

Betting impact: Increased minutes enhance Mariota’s value in tackle and running metre markets.

Kaeo Weekes

Weekes continues his outstanding form at fullback and returns to the venue where he scored the match-winning try against Penrith in last year’s dramatic Mudgee clash.

Betting impact: Weekes remains Canberra’s biggest attacking threat and one of their best anytime try scorer options.

Biggest Losers – Raiders

Noah Martin

Martin remains unavailable after suffering a quad injury, with Ata Mariota retaining his place in the starting back row.

Tom Starling

Starling drops back to the interchange following Pattie’s return, reducing his expected minutes through the middle.

Raiders edge defence

Containing Penrith’s left-edge attack led by Nathan Cleary, Liam Martin and Brian To’o remains one of Canberra’s biggest challenges.

Early Betting Verdict

The biggest team-list news is Jack Cogger’s return for Penrith and Owen Pattie’s return for Canberra, with both clubs regaining an important piece of their spine. Penrith still has key absentees in Dylan Edwards and Mitch Kenny, while the Raiders are without back-rower Noah Martin. From a betting perspective, the Panthers receive the bigger boost through Cogger’s return, but Canberra’s improved dummy-half rotation with Pattie back ensures this shapes as one of the most competitive matches of Round 22.
