The Bulldogs’ upset win over Souths lifted them four points clear of last place and will have given them renewed confidence heading into a clash with the second-placed Broncos.
Meanwhile, Brisbane are back from a bye and with games against the Rabbitohs, Roosters, Cowboys, Eels, Raiders and Storm to come, there is no margin for error for the Broncos as they eye a top-four finish and redemption for last year’s fadeout.

Both teams are coming off a bye and both have key players who will look to back up after Origin III, a crucial factor in who comes out on top on Saturday night.
Manly ended a losing streak in its last outing to stay within reach of the top eight while the Cowboys ran riot in their last match, destroying the Wests Tigers 74-0 to mark four consecutive wins and sit them just outside the top eight.

WARRIORS VS SHARKS – SUNDAYÂ 16 July, 2:00PM, MT SMART STADIUM
The Warriors bounced back to winning ways with a 46-10 rout of the Eels for their 10th win of the year last Saturday, and while they sit sixth on the ladder they are yet to beat a top-four side this season, which makes the meeting with the second-ranked Sharks one of their most important games to date.
The Sharks boast 10 wins from their past 13 against the Warriors but did fall 32-30 in a classic earlier this season thanks to a late Shaun Johnson penalty goal.

DOLPHINS VS PANTHERS – SUNDAYÂ 16 July, 4:05PM, KAYO STADIUM
The Panthers faced a tough Origin period, with six players having been called into Blues camp throughout the series but the premiers have handled the period in clinical fashion and still hold top-spot on the Premiership ladder.
For the Dolphins, their own skipper in Felise Kaufusi is back from his concussion, moving Mark Nicholls to the bench and Josh Kerr to 18th man. Their sole Origin rep, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, has been named to back up.
