NRL Round 15 Preview: Our Selections & Staking Plan

Another profitable week last week saw our overall profit rise to over 23 units but we’re not done yet as we’ve found a handful of great bets in round 15.

Tipping Results (Started In Round 8) :

Round 15 is set to be an absolute blockbuster with two cracking games to kick off our weekend with the Eels to do battle with the Storm & the Panthers looking to keep the winning streak running against the Sharks.

We’re confident we’ve found some great bets so let’s take a look at round 14 below.

PARRAMATTA EELS VS MELBOURNE STORM – THURSDAY AUGUST 20, 7:50PM, BANKWEST STADIUM

The Storm have continued to improve this season despite having to relocate to QLD & a run of injuries to key players and now find themselves as Premiership favourites following last week’s enormous win over the Roosters.

Parramatta, meanwhile, are simply looking to bounce-back after having their unbeaten run at Bankwest snapped by the Dragons last week.

Cameron Smith and Cameron Munster are both a chance to return this week for Melbourne, but the Storm will have to do without Suliasi Vunivalu who is nursing a broken jaw.

PENRITH PANTHERS VS CRONULLA SHARKS – FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 6:00PM, PANTHERS STADIUM

The Panthers were slightly below their best last week but showed their class by grinding out a win against a gallant Warriors outfit.

Cronulla had to work for everything in last week’s less-than-convincing win over the Titans and need to raise the bar if they are going to upstage the Panthers in enemy territory.

GOLD COAST TITANS VS CANBERRA RAIDERS – SATURDAY AUGUST 22 ,3:00PM, CBUS SUPER STADIUM

The Raiders were impressive in the second half against the Broncos and now have a great chance to go back to back with the Titans to take the field without Jai Arrow & Kevin Proctor.

Returning home to CBUS is a big plus for the Titans, although they won’t hold particularly fond memories of the Raiders after losing 24-6 to the Green Machine in Canberra back in Round 1.

WESTS TIGERS VS SYDNEY ROOSTERS – SATURDAY AUGUST 22, 5:30PM, LEICHARDT OVAL

While injuries have cruelled the back-to-back champions, a loss on Sunday could see Trent Robinson’s men fall to as low as sixth on the ladder with five weeks remaining before the finals. A top-two finish no longer looks a viable proposition.

The Tigers fought their way back from the death to win on a late field goal from Luke Brooks, and although the two points are all that matters, it’s difficult to feel confident in Wests moving forward.

Sydney has covered in five of their last six away games against the Tigers and they look very difficult to fault with their supporting cast returning to the fold.

CANTERBURY BULLDOGS VS NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – SUNDAY AUGUST 23, 2:00PM, ANZ STADIUM

New Zealand really put it to the Panthers in their six-point loss, but this does shape up as a win at all costs game as they currently find themselves six points off the eight.

The Bulldogs would have to be proud of their effort last week after putting a real scare into the Tigers last Sunday.

Canterbury was unlucky to lose on a last-second Luke Brooks field goal, but there was plenty to like about the way the Dogs fought up until the final siren.

Will Hopoate could potentially return this week, while the Warriors carry on with their long list of ailments and outs.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS VS NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS – SUNDAY AUGUST 23, 4:05PM, MCDONALD JONES STADIUM

Consistency has been an issue for the Knights but perhaps they’re about to go on a run after securing back-to-back wins for the first time since round two with a nervous triumph against Manly on Sunday.
