NRL Round 12 Preview: Our Selections & Staking Plan

It’s the first week of our paid NRL service so we’re keen to hit the bookies in what looks like a great round of footy.

Tipping Results (Started In Round 8) :

Round 11 started off to a high with the Eels downing the Tigers & covering the line at $2 but then took a small dive when the Bulldogs upset the Knights & the Panthers not covering the line.

We’re back to hit the bookies this week with a great round of footy ahead & we’re confident we’ve found some great bets.

Let’s take a look at round 12 below.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS VS SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS – THURSDAY JULY 30,7:50PM, NESTRATA JUBILEE STADIUM

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from a loss last week & with a top 8 spot in their sights we’re sure this will be a cracking start to the weekend of footy.

Neither side was disgraced on the scoresheet and with a couple of big names returning from suspension, we should be in for another close one.

Latrell Mitchell returns at fullback for the Bunnies, while the Dragons are welcoming Tariq Sims back into the second row.

BRISBANE BRONCOS VS CRONULLA SHARKS – FRIDAY JULY 31, 7:55PM, SUNCORP STADIUM

The Broncos are fighting to keep some sort of respect in their club and it seems it is a fight that is looking like being stopped by the referee after blowout losses to the Tigers & Storm.

The Sharks looked impressive in patches last week with a controversial win against the Dragons.

SYDNEY ROOSTERS VS GOLD COAST TITANS – SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 3:00PM, SCG

The Roosters haven’t looked the same since a flurry of injuries then a long trip to North Queensland.

Trent Robinson would be looking for ways to spark his team after a lethargic start to last weeks matchup against the Warriors.

The Titans put up a great fight against the Panthers but couldn’t find the class late in the game when the game was in the balance.

We feel like the Roosters have another loss in them soon but won’t be betting against them here.

NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS VS CANBERRA RAIDERS – SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 5:30PM, QUEENSLAND COUNTRY BANK STADIUM

Canberra held on for a six-point win over the Rabbitohs last week, but they did lose star fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in the process to a dislocated finger.

North Queensland lost their fourth game in a row last week against Manly, and it appears the bookies are favouring the Raiders heavily to add to that record.

The worry for the Raiders is the long bus ride to Sydney then the flight to North Queensland but with a top 4 spot on the line we’re sure they’ll hit the ground running.

CANTERBURY BULLDOGS VS PARRAMATTA EELS – SUNDAY AUGUST 2, 2:00PM, ANZ STADIUM

The Eels have a golden opportunity to reclaim the top spot on the ladder as the face the struggling Bulldogs outfit.

Head coach Brad Arthur must ensure his team doesn’t overlook the Bulldogs however, much like the Knights did when Canterbury’s valiant efforts were finally rewarded last week.

MELBOURNE STORM VS NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS – SUNDAY AUGUST 2, 4:05PM, SUNSHINE COAST STADIUM

The Storm are well-rested coming off last Friday’s massive win over the Broncos, so it is no surprise to find them at odds-on in the market.

Newcastle have enjoyed a few days to regroup and reflect on last week’s shortcomings against the Bulldogs, a loss that has sent the Knights spiraling down to sixth on the ladder ahead of another tough game.

Another loss for the Knights would put them in real danger of slipping out of the eight, while a win for the Storm (and other results going their way) could leave them on top of the table by the end of the round.
