Top five storylines from Week 15 of the 2020 National Football League regular season

We have 15 weeks down and two to go. Sorry folks. I am in mourning, as I lost in the semifinals in both of my fantasy football pools on Monday. Luckily, I am still winning my confidence pool, and one of two left in my survivour pool. Here are the top five storylines from Week 15.

5) Dwayne Haskins apologizes for his actions. Following Washington’s 20-15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Washington Football Team starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins was seen at a Washington strip club without a mask. This violated the NFL’s coronavirus protocols, and Haskins has since apologized. The Washington Football Team is now considering disciplining Haskins. This is the second time Haskins broke coronavirus rules. In October, he was fined $4833 when he made a reservation for a family friend at the team hotel in New York. The Washington Football Team lost that game too, 20-19.

4) Kansas City Chiefs will need to rely on Le’Veon Bell. In the Chiefs’ 32-29 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a hip injury and will be out the next few weeks. Luckily for the Chiefs, they have Le’Veon Bell in the backfield, and he will be expected to be a workhorse, like he was earlier in his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and last season with the New York Jets.

3) Tom Brady comes back to beat the Falcons again. In the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 31-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Falcons were up 17-0 at the half, and 24-7 in the third quarter, before Tom Brady delivered his comeback magic against Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Sound familiar? In Super Bowl LI, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots came back from a 28-3 deficit to beat the Falcons 34-28. It was the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history ever.

2) Stefon Diggs sets Bills record for catches in a season. In the Bills’ 48-19 win over the Denver Broncos on Saturday, Stefon Diggs broke the Bills franchise record for most catches in a season. Diggs now has 111 catches after recording 11 catches for 147 yards. In the first quarter, Diggs broke the record previously set by Eric Moulds, who had 100 catches for the Bills in the 2002 season. Diggs also leads the NFL this season with 111 catches. He has eight more catches than De’Andre Hopkins of the Arizona Cardinals, who is second with 103 catches. With the win, the Bills also won the AFC East.

1)Major upset wins by the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals. In complete stunners, the New York Jets beat the Los Angeles Rams 23-20, and the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17. In Los Angeles, the Jets won their first game of the year, and beat the NFC West Division-leading Rams as a result. The Jets, which entered the game as 17.5 point underdogs, jumped out to a 13-0 second quarter lead, and never looked back. Then in Cincinnati on Monday, the Bengals won only their third game of the season, and the Steelers only lost their third game. Cincinnati were 14 point underdogs themselves, but developed strong pressure defensively on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throughout the contest, and were victorious despite only getting 89 passing yards from starting quarterback Ryan Finley.
