Broncos trade linebacker Von Miller to the Rams
November 2, 2021

The Los Angeles Rams acquired a veteran defensive player on Monday who they hope will take them to the promise land. They acquired outside linebacker Von Miller of DeSoto, Texas for two draft picks according to Nick Shook of nfl.com. The Broncos will be receiving a second and a third round draft pick from the 2022 National Football League Draft.
Miller has played his entire 10 year NFL career with the Broncos. In seven games this season, he had 19 combined tackles (10 solo tackles and nine assisted tackles), nine quarterback hits and seven tackles for a loss.
In Miller’s career, he has had 509 combined tackles (390 solo tackles and 119 assisted tackles), 225 quarterback hits, 142 tackles for a loss, 110.5 sacks, two interceptions for 68 yards and one touchdown, 21 pass deflections, 26 forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries for 65 yards and one touchdown. Miller’s touchdown from an interception came in a 31-23 Broncos win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 2, 2012.

The NFL’s defensive rookie of the year in 2011, Miller has since been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times. He is also the last defensive player to be named the Super Most Valuable Player. Miller was honoured in Super Bowl 50 as the Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10.
In April of 2020, Miller made NFL headlines when he became the second player to test positive for coronavirus. The first was Rams center Brian Allen.
The Broncos made the trade even though they beat the Washington Football Team 17-10 on Sunday. With the win, the Broncos improved to four wins and four losses. The Rams meanwhile are at seven wins and one loss, with their only defeat coming to the Arizona Cardinals.
