Aaron Rodgers wins 2020 NFL Most Valuable Player Award
February 8, 2021
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers of Chico, California, has won his second NFL most valuable player award. Rodgers, who previously won the award in 2011 and 2014, led the NFL with 48 touchdown passes this past season. He also led the NFL in pass completion percentage (70.7%), and quarterback rating (121.5).
What is making headlines at the moment is the fact that Rodgers announced his engagement to actress Shailene Woodley of San Bernardino, California, in accepting the award. Rodgers has previously been in relationships with actress Olivia Munn, and racecar driver Danica Patrick.
The fact that Rodgers was named the NFL MVP is interesting when you consider the fact what a spectacular season Patrick Mahomes had with the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes only lost one game as a starting quarterback this season, and that loss came to the Las Vegas Raiders. Mahomes also made news in the relationship department this past week, as it was announced that his fiancee Brittany is expecting a baby.

Other award winners included Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (rookie of the year, and offensive rookie of the year), Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald (defensive player of the year), Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry (offensive player of the year), Washington defensive end Chase Young (defensive rookie of the year), Washington quarterback Alex Smith (comeback player of the year), and Kevin Stefanski of the Cleveland Browns, who won the NFL coach of the year. In an interesting note, none of the major award winners are playing in the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay on Sunday.
