NFL Weekly Preview Week 12 2024: Key Injuries, Difference Makers & Projected Upsets
November 22, 2024

We are headed into the twelfth week of the season. Here are the key injuries, fantasy stars and projected upsets.
Key Injuries
There were several key season-ending injuries from Week 11. Players gone for the year include Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Dawand Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana (broken leg), Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis of Fernandina Beach, Florida (meniscus tear), and Tennessee Titans linebacker Jack Gibbens of Bulverde, Texas (ankle surgery). Meanwhile, Â Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is out with an ankle injury, and Green Bay packers running back Marshawn Lloyd of Wilmington, Delaware has appendicitis.
Meanwhile, in Carolina, it appears rookie Jonathon Brooks of Halletsville, Texas will replace Sanders as the backup to Canadian starter Chuba Hubbard. Brooks was the Panthers’s second round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Last season Brooks tore his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for the University of Texas Longhorns and has not played a NFL regular season game as of yet.
Fantasy Stars
The top rated quarterback of the week is Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. He is projected to get 222 yards passing, 56 yards rushing, and two touchdowns on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. At wide receiver, Nico Collins of the Houston Texans is number one. He is projected to get six catches for 83 receiving yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. At running back, the top player for the week is Derrick Henry of the Ravens. He is projected to get 106 total yards and one touchdown.
Projected Upsets
Led by first overall pick Caleb Williams, I am predicting the Chicago Bears to upset the Minnesota Vikings as a 3.5 point underdog on Sunday. I have not been all that impressed with the Vikings offense lately, as they scored only 12 points as a team two weeks ago against the Jaguars.
