Top 6

Daniel Ricciardo had another disappointing qualifying but he does lift when it comes to race day & the bonus to finishing 11th is he gets a free choice of tyres so we can expect him to fit the mediums and run longer than those in the top 10.

If he gets a bit of luck with a safety car at the right time we can see him slot into the top 6.

Fastest Lap

This could be an interesting market that will come down to which strategy works best.

Lewis is clearly the fastest on track and if the mediums work the way they should he could build a big enough gap to pit late in the race and attack the fastest lap on a fresh set of soft boots.

If the start on the soft strategy turns out to be a 2 stop strategy then we will see Max on a soft set of tyres which may be enough for him to grab the fastest lap.

Either way you look at it, an extra point will be crucial for both Mercedes & Red Bull so expect any chance to be taken from either team.

Race Winner

Lewis is the clear winner here after finishing more than 0.3 seconds faster than his rivals in qualifying.

The only worry here is a frustrated Verstappen is starting on the softs which will give him more grip into turns one and two.

This could see him overtake Lewis early in the race which is fine because those tyres will burn off in the heat but we’re hoping there is no contact between the two in the duel.

Exacta

Lewis and Valteri were so much quicker than the rest of the field in Q2 which means they’re able to start on the medium tyre which will be a huge advantage in the 55-65 degree track temps that are expected.

If they can stay out of trouble early they will be able to run much longer on the first stint the have a fresh set of hards put on to finish the race whereas the soft runners will have worn hards late in the race and may even pit twice.

Winning Margin

As stated above, Lewis is clearly the fastest on track so there are two options here.

A) Lewis extends his lead and wins by 11+ @ $2.10

B) Lewis extends the gap enough to be able to pit and take a crack at the fastest lap which will see the gap reduced.

This makes the 6-10.999 seconds market very appealing at $5.00
