The teams are now set for the 2026 Presidents Cup in Chicago, Illinois. We now know the 12 players on Team USA and the International Team. Among the dozen international players on Geoff Ogilvy’s team are two Australians–Min Woo Lee of Perth and Adam Scott of Adelaide.
Lee and Scott were chosen because they were among the top six on the International Team Points List. Lee was fourth with 3.3955 points and Scott was sixth with 2.3332 points. The top six players were automatically chosen, and the other six players were chosen by Ogilvy. The other four players on the International Team chosen based on their point structure were Si-woo Kim of South Korea, Ryan Fox of New Zealand, Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, and Tom Kim of South Korea. Ogilvy’s captain’s picks were Corey Conners and Nick Taylor of Canada, Nico Echavarria of Colombia, Sung-jae Im of South Korea, Ryo Hisatsune of Japan and Christian Bezuidenhout of South Africa.
The six American players who automatically made the list were Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa. The six Americans chosen by captain Brandt Snedeker were Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman, Patrick Cantlay and Jackson Koivun.
Lee is currently ranked 29th in the world. In 2026, he finished second at Pebble Beach and the Scottish Open.
Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, is currently ranked 51st in the world. In 2026, he finished fourth at the Genesis Invitational and Cadillac Championship.
