Tennis legend Andy Murray tests positive for coronavirus
January 15, 2021
According to Tumaini Carayol of The Guardian on Thursday, tennis star Andy Murray of Glasgow, Scotland has tested positive for coronavirus. Murray was reportedly set to take a flight from London to Melbourne when he received the positive diagnosis.
There have been 3,260,258 cases of coronavirus in Great Britain, and 84,767 deaths. Currently, Great Britain has 1,768,524 active cases.
It should be noted that there is presently a coronavirus outbreak at the National Tennis Centre in London. Murray thought he had coronavirus in March of 2020, but was never tested. A reason why he was never tested is because he wanted to save tests for people who were front line workers and working for the National Health Service in Great Britain.
Murray is still hoping to compete at the Australian Open next month. For now, he is self-isolating. Murray has reached the Australian Open men’s singles final on five separate occasions in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. The first time he lost the final to Roger Federer, and the last four times he lost the final to Novak Djokovic.

There she lost 7-6, 6-2, to the eventual champion that year, Serena Williams of the United States.
In the American state of Florida, there have been 1,531,192 cases and 23,614 deaths. There are also 722,977 active cases.
