Kristoffer Reitan won the 2026 Truist Championship

Kristoffer Reitan of Oslo, Norway has won his first PGA Tour event. On Sunday, Reitan shot a four round score of -15 to win the 2026 Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Reitan had a first round score of five-under-par 66, a second round score of one-under-par 70, a third round score of seven-under-par 64, and a fourth round score of two-under-par 69. Rickie Fowler of the United States and Nicolai Hojgaard of Denmark finished in a tie for second place, two strokes back at -13, and Alex Fitzpatrick of England was alone in fourth place, and three strokes back at -12.

During the four rounds of competition, Reitan had one eagle. It came on the par-five 15th hole in the second round on Friday. Reitan had a 309 yard tee shot, 247 yard approach shot, and an amazing 84 foot and nine inch putt off the green that rolled into the hole. ‘

According to Hugh Kellenberger of The Athletic, Reitan becomes only the second Norwegian player ever to win on the PGA Tour. The first was Viktor Hovland of Oslo. Hovland is a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour. His wins came at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open, the 2020 Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico, the 2021 World Wide Technology Championship (also in Mexico), the 2023 Memorial Tournament, the 2023 BMW Championship, the 2023 Tour Championship, and the 2025 Valspar Championship.

With the win at Quail Hollow, Reitan qualifies for the 2026 United States Open and 2026 British Open. The 2026 United States Open will be at Shinnecock and the 2026 British Open will be at Royal Birkdale.
