St George Illawarra have granted forward Josh Kerr an immediate release from the final year of his contract, with Super League club Hull FC reported to be in the box seat to sign him.
The Dragons confirmed the move on Monday afternoon, saying Kerr had asked to leave so he could secure a longer-term deal elsewhere, in a club statement.
“Josh approached the club seeking an opportunity to secure a longer-term deal elsewhere, and we agreed to this request,” Dragons CEO Tim Watsford said.
“Josh has been a terrific clubman and a highly respected teammate throughout his two spells at the Dragons. We wish Josh and his family all the very best for the next chapter.”
