Jonathan Taylor says his wife’s social media videos about a possible trade don’t change anything for him, as the Indianapolis Colts star running back’s name stays in the mix ahead of the NFL trade deadline on November 10 (US time).
Taylor’s wife, Ayanna, posted videos over the weekend discussing the chance the Colts could trade him, Pro Football Talk reported. The videos laid out the case for a deal, including the Colts having no 2027 first-round pick after last year’s trade for Sauce Gardner.
Asked about them after Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in the US, Taylor said the talk had “been out there already” and that her adding to it “doesn’t really change anything”, according to quotes from The Athletic’s James Boyd relayed by Pro Football Talk.
“You know everybody’s on TikTok these days,” Taylor said.
Teams interested, Colts undecided
ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported last week that multiple teams would be open to a trade for Taylor, citing a source, but it remains unclear whether the Colts are ready to sell before the deadline.

The speculation started after the Colts fired general manager Chris Ballard last Monday, with Ed Dodds stepping in as interim GM, Pro Football Talk reported. The loss to Minnesota dropped Indianapolis to 2-5. Pro Football Talk also reported that guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner have been named in trade chatter.
Taylor shut down talk of a move when asked about his future last Thursday, before the Vikings game.
“I haven’t given any thought,” he said, as reported by ESPN. “That’d be crazy right now, especially because we’ve got a great Minnesota Vikings team that we have to go against. I think it would be a discredit and a disservice to my teammates and this whole organization to think about what could, what should, what may be.”

Why Taylor would be a big trade target
The 27-year-old led the NFL in carries (323), touchdowns (18) and first downs (84) last season, Pro Football Talk reported. He had 122 carries for 492 yards and seven touchdowns in six games this season before the Vikings loss.
Taylor was a second-round pick of the Colts in 2020 and signed his latest extension, a three-year deal, in August. Its average of US$22 million a season ranks third among running backs, Pro Football Talk reported, which any buyer would have to take on.
The Colts had not commented publicly on Taylor’s future at the time of writing.
