Jon Rahm has won the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship by two shots for his first title since announcing his departure from LIV Golf, while Adam Scott finished in a share of ninth at Yas Links.
Rahm fired a final-round 67 to finish at 23 under, two clear of Tyrrell Hatton and four ahead of Rory McIlroy, to claim a record sixth Rolex Series title and his 11th DP World Tour win, the DP World Tour reported.
It was the Spaniard’s first win at a DP World Tour event in four years and came in his first tournament since the birth of his fourth child last month, according to BBC Sport.
Rahm, Hatton, Francesco Laporta and McIlroy briefly shared the lead at 20 under on the back nine before Rahm pulled clear. Laporta’s challenge ended with a triple bogey at the 13th, and a brilliant approach at the 15th set up a birdie that gave Rahm control before he closed with three straight pars.

‘It’s pretty special’
“It means a lot. It’s been quite a while to play well in the DP World Tour,” Rahm told Sky Sports, as reported by BBC Sport.
“After everything that has gone on, some poor play and some battles mentally with a lot of noise, to come back out after a bit of a break and a new addition to the family, it’s pretty special.”
Scott, McIlroy and the Race to Dubai
Scott, who started the final round in the top five, closed with a 73 to finish at 14 under in a tie for ninth, according to the official DP World Tour leaderboard.
Hatton shot 68 to take solo second and seal his place at next week’s DP World Tour Championship, while McIlroy’s third-placed finish lifted him to second on the Race to Dubai standings behind Eugenio Chacarra as he chases a record-equalling eighth season-long title.
