Glen Boss to retire from racing

Champion jockey Glen Boss has called time on his illustrious career at the age of 52. Boss will take his final ride this Saturday when he jumps aboard Spanish Mission in the Group 2 Zipping Classic.
Boss hangs up his saddle after a remarkable 90 Group 1 wins including the three Melbourne Cups aboard Makybe Diva. More recently Boss has claimed the Golden Eagle and Everest in their infancy.
However, it was the famous Randwick mile where Boss excelled winning an incredible fifteen Group 1 wins with his most recent success aboard Brutal in the 2019 Doncaster.
Boss kicked off his career at the early age of 15 and has been one of the best for over 30 years.
After a luckless Spring missing the ride on Incentivise due to border restrictions, Boss gets his chance on Saturday to bow out a winner when he rides the $1.60 chance Spanish Mission in the feature at Caulfield.
