The NRL Women’s Premiership is set to return in late July with the Newcastle Knights the reigning champions, but with four new expansion teams in the Wests Tigers, North Queensland Cowboys, Canberra Raiders, and Cronulla Sharks it’s sure to be another great season—and the contracting window has already been flung wide open.

The once unbeatable Broncos have kept a mouthwatering core of Ali Brigginshaw, Julia Robinson, and Chelsea Lenarduzzi while adding huge pickups like Tazmin Gray from the Titans and reigning premiership-winning fullback Tazmin Gray from the Knights.

Cronulla Sharks
Tony Herman’s Cronulla squad has been built on the bones of the Dragons’ best, with top stars like Quincy Dodd, Holli Wheeler, Andie Robinson, Talei Holmes, Kiana Takairangi, and 2021 Daly M medalist Emma Tonegato all defecting.

Dean Widder’s nearly guided the Eels to a much-needed footy trophy at the end of 2022 but it wasn’t to be. They’ve already bolstered their roster stocks with star halfback Rachael Pearson and damaging front rower Elsie Albert. Both joined from the Dragons.

St George Illawarra Dragons
Sixteen retentions for the Dragons but not many star names, with Kezie Apps, Elsie Albert, Shaylee Bent, Taliah Fuimaono, Emma Tonegato, Holli Wheeler, Quincy Dodd, Talei Holmes, and Tegan Dymock all joining other clubs. The biggest sting for Red V loyalists will be that from Tonegato and Wheeler on, all of them joined archrivals Cronulla.
