According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN on Tuesday, the New York Giants signed three wide receivers to one-year contracts worth $1.3 million each on Tuesday. However, due to the fact the Giants already have wide receiver depth on their roster, it is highly unlikely that all three of the new Giants wide receivers (Odell Beckham Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, Braxton Berrios of Raleigh, North Carolina and Juju Smith-Schuster of Long Beach, California) will be on the Giants opening roster when week one of the 2026 NFL season starts on September 13 when the Giants host the Dallas Cowboys. Remember, the Giants already have Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton and Darnell Mooney.
Beckham Jr. is returning to the Giants after playing five seasons there from 2014 to 2018. In 59 games, Beckham Jr. had 390 catches for 5476 receiving yards and 44 touchdowns. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl thrice (2014, 2015, 2016) and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 when he had 91 catches for 1305 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Since then, Beckham Jr. played three seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2019 to 2021), one season with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 (won the Super Bowl in 2022), one season with the Baltimore Ravens (2023), and one season with the Miami Dolphins (2024).
Berrios is joining his fourth NFL team. He previously played four seasons with the New York Jets (2019 to 2022), two seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2023 and 2024), and one season with the Houston Texans (2025). This past season Berrios had six catches for 37 yards.
Smith-Schuster is joining his fourth NFL franchise. He was previously with the Pittsburgh Steelers for five seasons (2017 to 2021), three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2022, 2024 and 2025), and the New England Patriots (2023). Smith-Schuster was selected to the Pro Bowl with the Steelers in 2018 (111 catches for 1426 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches), and won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2023. In 2025, Smith-Schuster had 33 catches for 345 receiving yards and one touchdown. The touchdown catch was for four yards and came in a 37-20 Chiefs win over the Baltimore Ravens on September 28, 2025. The Ravens head coach at the time is the Giants head coach now–John Harbaugh.
