FREE: Sandown Hillside Tip Sheet & Staking Plan: Saturday 6th May

Saturday Metropolitan racing in Victoria heads to Sandown Hillside for 9 races with the first to commence at 12:05pm local time. There’s no black type races on the program but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good program to rip into!

The track is currently rated a Soft 6. Victorian’s are set for a freezing day with tops of 13 degrees! There’s up to 8mm of rain forecasted on Friday and with rain also set to fall on race day, this track will easily remain in the soft range, if not, be a heavy track. Find horses that can handle it wet.

The rail is out 8m for this meeting. Traditionally, with the rail out this far, the track has favoured horses who are drawn in middle to wide barriers and can sit midfield. Horses that are mapped to be in the running line with cover will be benefited. As always, watch and assess.
