FREE Greyhound Racing Selections – Healesville 3rd September 2021

Back to back days at Healesville and this is a very tricky card. We are hoping for some better luck than yesterday, Let’s turn those placings into winners!

Race 1

Tough race to start the day with no standouts. #1 Cocomelon has been slow out in both starts to date but did break 20 seconds LTO. His 19.94s would clock around 17.10s over the 300m which would be good enough to win this race. Slow starters to his outside also help. #8 Secret Archie’s time of 20.55s here doesn’t do him justice as he was heavily checked on multiple occasions, could be the huge improver. #3 Madison Rose unlucky latest, can run well in weak race.

Numbers
  • 1st – #1 Cocomelon
  • 2nd – #8 Secret Archie
  • 3rd – #3 Madison Rose
No Bets.

Race 2

Shallow maiden field. Clear standout top pick in this race is #2 Man in Blue who should be winning. His 19.98s on debut is lengths better than these and he was unlucky in his latest run here when running 20.41s. Slow inside runner and outside box shaping to veer right he will have no excuses. #8 Let’s Trot is the unknown runner that might just knock them all off as they’re extremely exposed. #7 Rev Up Rocco is the most consistent out of the long, standing maiden brigade.

Numbers
  • 1st – #2 Man in Blue
  • 2nd – #8 Let’s Trot
  • 3rd – #7 Rev Up Rocco
#2 Man in Blue 1u Win @ $2.35

Race 3

Open, confusing race with a lot of these dogs set to hunt for the outside fence. I’m happy to have a speculator with #2 Call Me Jade. She has the speed to get across box 1 and won’t be hampered by box 3. #7 Lucky Blonde is on the up but her time of 17.42s last week needs to improve here to be winning. Capable of doing so. #4 Sound the Bugle has had 1 start her and come last but in a fast race against good dogs. In form and a win won’t surprise.

Numbers
  • 1st – #2 Call Me Jade
  • 2nd – #7 Lucky Blonde
  • 3rd – #4 Sound the Bugle
No Bets.

Race 4

Extremely weak race with little depth. #4 Mav’s Magic steps up in grade once again but is progressing well and has won his last 2 starts. He can run well here. #3 Devil’s Spirit was good 1st up when running 3rd In 17.22s, if he’s come on from that effort, he can be competitive here. #6 Jonah Alcatraz broke 17s last run with his 16.94s but will need luck from out there.

Numbers
  • 1st – #4 Mav’s Magic
  • 2nd – #3 Devil’s Spirit
  • 3rd – #6 Jonah Alcatraz
No Bets.

Race 5

Hard to split the top 2. #1 Invictus Stella scored an all the way victory here last time in 20.05s. Note: The track was playing a few lengths slower this day. She’s had 2 months off so that’s the query, but she is less exposed here and has a beautiful map with box 2 being a slow starter who comes off the rails. #8 Boes Bambino has only won on 2 occasions in 40 starts and I do have my question marks with him finishing off races, but he did run 19.80s last week. Nunniong Bear has come out and won which lifts his chances. #4 Stockbroker ties in well with box 1 formlines.

Numbers
  • 1st – #1 Invictus Stella
  • 2nd – #8 Boes Bambino
  • 3rd – #4 Stockbroker
No Bets.

Race 6

Tight race with only a matter of lengths separating the top 4-5. #2 Sugar Boloney has been racing well here. Was a touch unlucky not to have won 2 starts back and did get a win on the board 3 starts back. #5 Melanistic ties in well with the SB formlines. #3 Invictus Murray’s best would blow these off but he’s racing 2-3 lengths off that currently.

Numbers
  • 1st – #2 Sugar Boloney
  • 2nd – #5 Melanistic
  • 3rd – #3 Invictus Murray
No Bets.

Race 7

Simon Humphries holds the keys to this race. I’ve got no doubt #5 Thunderbolt Jack is the most talented runner he has in this race; however, I don’t think he’s going well this prep and with box 6 set to crash across him he is going to need a lot of luck. This leaves #1 Nowhere Nathe in his own world in box 1 and he loves it. He has run mid 19.60s here with this set up and that would be good enough for him to get home here after a decent return run behind Hadouken.

Numbers
  • 1st – #1 Nowhere Nathe
  • 2nd – #5 Thunderbolt Jack
  • 3rd – #6 Rain Dance
#1 Nowhere Nathe 1u Win @ $2.50

Race 8

Strongest race on the card so far. #1 Burnish loves an inside box and is aided by one here. He can pounce and get on the bunny here. #4 Indy’s Dream has strung together successive victories and can also come across and contest for the lead with box 1. I have no doubt #2 Reiko Langer is the best of the 3 however, he is slow out and does need some luck. Might just work out for him as he’s mapped to take the drop on the above 2. Just needs gaps to open late.

Numbers
  • 1st – #1 Burnish
  • 2nd – #4 Indy’s Dream
  • 3rd – #2 Reiko Langer
No Bets.

Race 9

#8 Heads or Tails was sensational last start down the straight track when missing the kick and just missing to the inform My Dad Baz. Since then, he has had a fall so it’s always a concern what that’s done to the dog mentally. Most brush it off, some still have mental scarring and won’t chase as hard. #2 My Dad Baz doesn’t have that area of concern and is drawn perfectly downlow. #6 Lily Rose Jazz best of the rest.

Numbers
  • 1st – #2 My Dad Baz
  • 2nd – #8 Heads or Tails
  • 3rd – #6 Lily Rose Jazz
No Bets.

Race 10

Deep race with no standouts on form. #8 Especial Echo was a good 3.90/16.80s winner here last week from this draw. However, she was comfortably beaten by #7 Finlaystone when he showed a dashing turn of speed to claim victory. With luck he can do so again. #6 Princess Milne hasn’t been running well of late but is has been dropped back in grade and it’s only a matter of time before he puts in a good run. Odds are starting to become ridiculous.

Numbers
  • 1st – #7 Finlaystone
  • 2nd – #8 Especial Echo
  • 3rd – #6 Princess Milne
No Bets.

Race 11

Story of the day today – Another deep race with the best dogs in the field having areas of concern. #3 Shady Talks best form here wins this race. Was good last start when getting interference last 50m. #2 Tregunna has been running well of late and is drawn ideally in a low box. Can use early muster to burn and find the rail. #5 Diamond Socks would be competitive with best form.

Numbers
  • 1st – #3 Shady Talks
  • 2nd – #2 Tregunna
  • 3rd – #5 Diamond Socks
No Bets.

Race 12

Not a race that I can be bullish about. #3 Hartland Gus has been running well lately and if he can replicate his 16.94s last start he can be in the finish here. #1 Sharpedo finally draws the red here and can kick up. Major player. On his best form #4 Wake the Dragon would be hard to beat here. However, he mixes his form and is too hard to trust with your money on!

Numbers
  • 1st – #3 Hartland Gus
  • 2nd – #1 Sharpedo
  • 3rd – #4 Wake the Dragon
No Bets.
