FREE: Ascot Selections & Staking Plan: Wednesday 16th March
March 16, 2022

Lacklustre Wednesday card at Ascot tomorrow, very uninspiring. 7 races on what should still be a beautiful day for racing.
Race 1 – 2:05PM CROWN PERTH HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
1. Blue Line – 5. Harmika – 3. Otheroneson – 6. St John
Blue Line
I’m actually keen to have something really small on Blue Line here who’s up from Albany. Thought the last start effort down there in a CL2 when deep the trip was terrific, now draws an alley and should be able to take up the running for Holly who’s riding brilliantly at the moment or box-seat stalking the leader. The 2 horses hard in the market obviously look very hard to beat, but I think he can definitely make his presence felt at $20.00 shopping with some.
0.5 Units WIN
Race 2 – 2:40PM RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE MAIDEN (1200 METRES)
9. Vitalize – 8. Snip Of Glory – 2. Total Lockdown – 1. Fruit Loops
Vitalize
Thought Vitalize was really good last start in a much deeper race than this, once she balanced up in the straight after settling a mile back she really hit the line nicely. If Chris Parnham can find some cover from 10 here, I’m pretty confident he can zap these late with some luck in running, she brings by far the strongest form into this assignment.
1.5 Units WIN
Race 3 – 3:15PM AMELIA PARK HANDICAP (1100 METRES)
5. Born To Rule – 2. Guns Of Navarone – 1. Silkinize – 4. Masquerade
Race 4 – 3:45PM TABTOUCH BETTER YOUR BET HANDICAP (1100 METRES)
2. Winning Aces – 1. Star Present – 5. Dark City – 8. Dolly Em
Race 5 – 4:15PM SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
2. Lonehand Larry – 4. My Mate – 1. The Republican – 3. Featherweight
Race 6 – 4:45PM HEINEKEN 3 HANDICAP (1800 METRES)
3. Dangote – 7. Broadway Brenda – 4. Disengo – 1. Keep Your Feet
Race 7 – 5:20PM DRUMMOND GOLF HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
