The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are only three days away from the Super Bowl in Tampa. However, this will not be the first time this season the Chiefs will have played the Buccaneers in central Florida. On November 29, the Chiefs beat the Buccaneers 27-24. Here were five storylines from the game in week 12.

5) Chiefs hot start. Kansas City had a big first quarter as they took a 17-0 lead after the first 15 minutes. Patrick Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill on a 75-yard touchdown and a 44-yard touchdown after a 19 yard Harrison Butker field goal. Hill also had a 20-yard touchdown catch from Mahomes in the third quarter.

4) Buccaneers hot finish. Heading into the Super Bowl, the Tampa Bay may have some momentum. That is because the Buccaneers scored the final 14 points of the game as Tom Brady threw two fourth quarter touchdown passes to Mike Evans.

3) Rob Gronkowski outplayed Travis Kelce. Another positive takeaway for the Buccaneers is the fact that Gronkowski had a better performance than Kelce, in a matchup that featured two of the NFL’s  best tight ends. Gronkowski had six catches for 106 yards, and Kelce had eight catches for 82 yards.

2) Not much room to run. The defensive lines for both teams were admirable. The Chiefs only had 87 total rushing yards, and the Buccaneers only had 76 rushing yards.

1)  Amazing performance by Hill. The Chiefs wide receiver had a game for the ages. He had 269 receiving yards, the second most by a Chiefs wide receiver in a game in franchise history, and the most by a wide receiver in a game this season. The only Chiefs player with more yards was Stephone Paige, who had 309 receiving yards in a 38-34 Kansas City win over the San Diego Chargers on December 22, 1985. The NFL record for most receiving yards in a game belongs to Flipper Anderson, who had 336 receiving yards for the Los Angeles Rams in a 20-17 Rams win over the New Orleans Saints on November 26, 1989. Oh yes, and Hill found the end zone thrice.
