Final Field and Barriers for the $7.5 Million Golden Eagle 

A full field of 18 is set to contest the Golden Eagle on Saturday at Rosehill headlined by last start G1 Toorak Handicap winner I’m Thunderstruck.

The OTI galloper has drawn nicely in 10 and will come into 8 after the emergencies are scratched on raceday morning. By all reports the horse has travelled up to Sydney in good order and the stable are confident the favourite will be hard to beat.

Leading contenders Private Eye and Aegon both now face a massive task drawing 17 and 20 in what looks a tricky run from the 1500 metres at Rosehill.  

Whilst the three international raiders have had mixed results with Reve De Vol the best drawn in 7. Whilst it will be tough for Laws Of Indices and Maximal who face the challenge of jumping from gate 19 and 22 respectively.
