According to the suburban.com, the Atlanta Falcons have signed linebacker Bud Dupree of Macon, Georgia to a one-year contract worth $5 million. The Falcons become the third National Football League franchise Dupree has played for following six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2015 to 2020), and the last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2021 and 2022).
In 11 games with the Titans in 2022, Dupree had 18 combined tackles (14 solo tackles and four assisted tackles), six tackles for a loss, nine quarterback hits, four sacks, two fumble recoveries for two yards, and one forced fumble. When Dupree initially signed with the Titans, he signed a three-year deal worth a whopping $49.5 million. However, Dupree needed to look for further employment when he was released by the Titans on March 16.

The 10-yard pick six came in a 30-27 Steelers win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 24, 2018.

The Falcons gave up 386 points in 2022. That was the most number of points allowed among the four teams in the NFC South.
