January 7, 2025
The NBA All-Star Game is more than just a showcase of basketball’s greatest talents.
It’s a celebration of the sport, driven by fan engagement and excitement. Each year, fans, players, and media unite to select the star athletes who will light up the court.
If you’re excited about the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, here’s your guide to how the voting process works, how you can get involved, and which players are already leading the charge.
How Does NBA All-Star Voting Work?
NBA All-Star voting for 2025, presented by AT&T, kicked off on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. ET and runs until Jan. 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Fans can cast their votes for game starters via the NBA App or NBA.com/vote using their NBA ID.
Voting isn’t just a chance to support your favorite players—it’s your ticket to influence the lineup for basketball’s most exciting event.
Here’s a breakdown of the voting process:
- Platforms to Vote: Use the NBA App or NBA.com to submit a ballot. You’ll need an NBA ID, which is free to create and comes with perks like exclusive content and rewards.
- Ballot Structure: Fans can submit one full ballot daily. Each ballot has 3 frontcourt players and 2 guards from the Eastern and Western Conferences.
- Special 3-for-1 Voting Days: On select dates, votes count triple! Mark your calendar for Dec. 21, Dec. 25, Jan. 3, Jan. 10, Jan. 17, and Jan. 20 to maximize your impact.
The voting process also involves input from current NBA players and media members. Each group is allowed to turn in one ballot during the voting time.
After voting closes, each player’s score is calculated by averaging their rank across fan votes, player votes, and media votes. Tiebreakers are decided by fan voting.
2025 First Fan Voting Results
The initial fan voting results are in, and leading the charge are some of the NBA’s biggest stars. Denver Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokić dominates the Western Conference frontcourt, while Milwaukee Bucks’ forward Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the East.
At the guard positions, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder) and LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets) are the top vote-getters in their respective conferences.
Want to see your favorite player climb the ranks? There’s still time to vote!
Why Should You Participate?
Not only does voting help shape the star-studded lineup for the NBA All-Star Game, it’s also a chance to connect with the global basketball community.
Fans in the U.S. who vote will also be entered into the NBA ID All-Star Voting Sweepstakes sponsored by AT&T.
The prize? A trip to the San Francisco Bay Area for the NBA All-Star 2025 experience!
For basketball enthusiasts, NBA All-Star voting is an opportunity to celebrate the players who make the league shine—but it also reflects the spirit of community that drives the sport.
The Role of NBA All-Star Voting in Fan Engagement
Engaging with the All-Star voting process allows fans to weigh in on their favorite athletes, but it also mirrors fan involvement in NBA betting odds throughout the season.
Just as people enjoy predicting All-Star rosters, NBA Player Props, and Player Awards odds attract attention among sports enthusiasts.
Whether it’s betting on a star player’s likelihood to become MVP or their in-game performance, both voting and wagering bring the game closer to the audience.
