Eugenio Chacarra has won the DP World India Championship by two strokes at Delhi Golf Club, a result that lifts the Spaniard past Patrick Reed to the top of the Race to Dubai standings heading into the final weeks of the DP World Tour season.
Chacarra finished at 21 under par after completing a 9-under 63 in his weather-delayed third round early on Sunday and then closing with a 70, the Associated Press reported via ESPN. New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier was second at 19 under after weekend rounds of 64 and 67, with Adrian Meronk and Angel Hidalgo tied for third at 15 under.
It is the 26-year-old’s third win of 2026, after victories at the KLM Open and the Italian Open in June, and it follows a third place at the French Open and a runner-up finish at the Spanish Open last week.
McIlroy struggles in New Delhi
Rory McIlroy, the headline act in India this week, closed with a 74 to finish in a tie for 42nd at 4 under, while Reed shot 69 to tie for 23rd at 8 under. Tommy Fleetwood finished at 13 under.
“Didn’t feel I was at my sharpest,” McIlroy said, according to the AP, “so looking forward to getting home and practicing and feeling like I turn up at those last two events ready to play and ready to go.”

Chacarra eyes Ryder Cup spot
“Two of the best players in the world are coming for me now,” Chacarra said, “and I know they are not going to make it easy.”
The former LIV Golf player was congratulated behind the 18th green by European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, and he made it clear he wants to earn his place in Europe’s team for Adare Manor next year on merit.
“I’ve told Luke I want to be on that team by not just a pick. I wanted to be one of the six [automatic] spots,” Chacarra said.
