EPL Matchweek 8 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

A great week last week as we had Newcastle come in as underdogs and some nice wins on overs. West Ham were really unlucky against Liverpool and had every chance of winning that at a huge price. We were on the right side of that one, just didn’t go for us on the day.
Season Results:
  • 50% strike rate
  • +3.36 Units Of Profit
  • 8% ROI

Everton v Manchester United, Goodison Park

We backed against Everton last week, and successfully so, but they were without so many of their key players. But today they get back James Rodriguez, the man who is at the heart of all that they have done well this season. Lucas Digne and Jordan Pickford are also likely to return,.

Manchester United have just been so up and down. They have had some great results but absolutely awful performances in between. I do not trust them as favourites on the road to a team that is still in great form despite a couple of blips.

West Ham v Fulham, London Stadium

I am sure by now that plenty of you have realised I do not rate Fulham. Their squad is really lacking in the quality needed to compete in the Premier League. They have just one win in seven and are really going to struggle this season.

David Moyes has really turned things around for West Ham and despite a brutal run of fixtures, they have come out of it with a great run of results. They finally get an easier game and they can really put Fulham to the sword.

  • 1 unit West Ham and over 2.5 goals 2.53 with TopSport

West Brom v Tottenham, The Hawthorns

Tottenham are really finding their form. A win earlier this week over Brighton pushed them further up the table and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

West Brom remain winless and look destined for an immediate return to the Championship. They are just no match for Spurs. They keep conceding goals – their 16 is more than any team in the league, meaning we get a matchup of the top scorers and the worst defence.

It is hard to look at this and think that Spurs don’t win and don’t win big.

  • 1 unit Son Heung-Min to score a goal 2.2 with TopSport
  • 1 unit Harry Kane to score a goal 1.84 with TopSport
  • 1 unit Tottenham win and over 2.5 goals 2.0 with TopSport

Arsenal v Aston Villa

Arsenal are a very odd team. They are showing real signs of progress but when you watch them they just lack creativity. They create so few chances and that shows up in plenty of stats, but they are one of the worst teams in the league for shots on target.

Their opponents have scored plenty of goals, but when you drill into it, seven came in one game and in their other five games they have scored just eight.

I expect a tight affair here and while I would lean towards Arsenal, I do not like the value. Instead I will look at the totals markets and just take the under at a really nice price.

  • 1 unit Arsenal v Aston Villa under 2.5 goals 2.21 with TopSport
