After a weekend off for the FA Cup the Premier League returns. There was some midweek games but with the short turnaround from the previous games and coronavirus issues I just decided to stay away.

Leeds United v Brighton

I will say it again, I am a big fan of a lot of what Brighton have done and are doing. But they do not score enough goals. If you can’t get the ball in the net then you are not going to win many games and that has played out for Brighton so far. Leeds tend to be involved in games with lots of goals, so something has to give, but I suspect it will be Leeds that find a way to get on the scoresheet.

Leicester v Southampton

Southampton got an unexpected weekend off after their opponents suffered a COVID outbreak. At this time of a year that can be a huge blessing. No team has more clean sheets than the Saints this season and they can frustrate Leicester in this one.

Sheffield United v  Tottenham

Tottenham have been in poor form, but make no mistake, their opponents have been far worse. Sheffield United got their first win of the season in midweek but that is unlikely to continue. Spurs can win this, and win it big.

Liverpool v Man Utd

The obvious game of the week and it looks like a game that will go a long way to deciding the league winner. Man Utd have been in excellent form and found their way all the way to the top of the table. However, I just trust Liverpool more. Their form feels a lot more sustainable and especially at Anfield, I just can’t back against them.
