Interestingly, Duval had driven to Augusta after flying to Atlanta on Sunday. He went to the testing site at the Masters, and was surprised he had coronavirus because he had no symptoms. Duval is currently self-isolating in his Denver basement. He had driven from Augusta to Denver.
There have been 419, 870 cases of coronavirus in the state of Georgia alone. The state ranks sixth in total cases behind Texas, California, Florida, New York, and Illinois. Georgia also has 8,905 deaths, and 150, 669 active cases. In addition to Duval, golfers Sergio Garcia of Spain, and Joaquin Niemann of Chile tested positive for coronavirus within the last week, and as a result are not competing in the final major of 2020.
